Sophia Mirrashidi

I am a Computer Science Master's student at USC with a B.S. in Statistics and Data Science and a minor in Anthropology from UCSB (2025). At USC, I am researching emergent misalignment in LLMs, advised by Prof. Robin Jia and Prof. Vatsal Sharan, and I have returned to my previous team at Apple for the summer. I'm eager to deepen my understanding of how large language models work and to contribute to research that makes them more reliable, safe, and aligned with human values. Outside of work, I am a classically trained pianist. I graduated from the SFCM Pre-College program and am continuing my studies at the USC Thornton School of Music. My favorite composers include Debussy and Shostakovich.
