Sophia Mirrashidi

I am a Computer Science Master's student at USC, having previously received my B.S. in Statistics and Data Science with a minor in Anthropology from UCSB in 2025. I have experience in LLM safety research at the UCSB Qin Lab and in building training data pipelines for foundational models at Apple. I'm eager to deepen my understanding of how large language models work and to contribute to research that makes them more reliable, safe, and aligned with human values. I am also a classically trained pianist, having graduated from the SFCM Pre-College program and am continuing my studies at the USC Thornton School of Music. My favorite composers include Debussy and Shostakovich.
